Every patriotic Nigerian citizen should mourn what happens to the innocent victims of the controversial bombings of innocent Muslim worshippers at Tudun Biri in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State as an unfortunate and colossal waste of human lives.
Suffice it that it’s like a personal loss and a waste to all humanity just like the innocent deaths of all victims of systemic hubris and vainglorious entitlements killings in all the nooks and crannies of our violent-besieged country by all blood-sucking outlawed groups. In taking a position on this matter, I must re-iterate my conviction that Islam promotes equity and equality of all mankind and that the likes of Gumi lack the power to recast the tenent and praxies of the faith, even if they were millions in number.
Furthermore, I recognize that the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Sa’adu Abubakar as the leader of the Muslim Ummah has responsibly spoken the minds of all Muslims, who feel genuinely aggrieved about the implementation process of the sad outcome of painful tragedy. May Allah Ubangji SWT grant the victims His blissful mercy!
Nonetheless, I believe that it’s also high time for the Muslim Ummah to come out openly, with a strong warning to checkmate Dr. Ahmed Gumi’s uncharitable political opportunism and misguided vanity of using the unfortunate incident of the bombings to launch his condescendingly biased and harboured reservoir of political vendetta which audacious mendacity smacks of very mischievous impunity, that resonates with a carefully orchestrated but dangerous political motives made in bad faith.

His message was meant to violently incite mobs reactions as well as create confusion and disunity amongst the Muslim population in the country, an approach which has become a permanent ideological strategy adopted by him and other opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP hired marabout prayer warriors; a path of ignominy they have chosen since their unrepentant presidential candidate was woefully rejected by the Muslim voters in favour of a popular Yoruba Muslim candidate from the Southwest geopolitical zone.
I’m sure that, every responsible Muslim and even non-muslim in Nigeria is already aware that the Nigerian Muslim community/ummah has ONLY ONE SPOKESMAN, which official mandate belongs only to the Sultan except when he has decided to delegate a representative. And I am not aware, yet, of the Sultan of Sokoto officially identifying Dr. Ahmed Gumi as his representative. Therefore, this being the case, there is the need to contextualize Dr. Ahmed Gumi’s unilateral impunity, by declaiming his insensitive personal political vendetta, which contains injurious prejudices that contradict Islamic theological virtues and humanitarian brotherhood.
I feel the integrity of not only Islamic decorum but even the immunity of its leadership is at stake and serious stakeholders must speak out and stop Dr. Ahmed Gumi from trivializing the integrity of Islam and its humble doctrine, from the murky waters of Nigerian dirty politics.
