Friday Sermon: Quran Reflection For The Week With Dr. Sulleiman Adediran

 

OF PARADISE- THE ULTIMATE DESIRE OF EVERY MUSLIMS

PEGASUS REPORTERS, LAGOS | JANUARY 21, 2022/ Friday, 18 Jumada II 1443 A.H.

1-ALLAH’S PROMISE
Allah hath promised to Believers, men and women, gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein, and beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss. But the greatest bliss is the good pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme felicity”-Quran, At-Taubah (The Immunity [9]:72

2-GREATEST REWARD IN HEAVEN IS RECEIVING ALLAH’S PLEASURE AND MERCY
Say, “Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants” – Quran, Al-‘Imran (The Family of Amran) [3]:15

3-THRONES OF DIGNITY- EVERY COMFORT WILL BE AFFORDED
“In a lofty Paradise, where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood. Therein will be a running spring. Therein will be thrones raised high, and cups set at hand. And cushions set in rows, and rich carpets (all) spread out” -Quran, Al-Ghashiyah (The Overwhelming Event [88]:10–16

4-ETERNAL HOME- A PLACE OF EVERLASTING LIFE
“For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath—an eternal dwelling. How excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)!”-Quran, Al-‘Imran (The Family of Amran) [3]:136

5-PEACE WITHIN PARADISE
Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring. Angels shall enter from every gate (with the salutation): “Peace be with you, that you persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!” -Quran, Ar-Ra’d (The Thunder) [13]:23–24

6-SAYING OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW)
Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, deeds are only judged by how they were at the end of life.”-Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6607

OUR DUA
“My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations. And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. -Quran, Ash-Shu’ara’ (The Poets) [26]:83-85
