EDO 2024: Rejoinder to John Mayaki’s ‘Slowed Engine’ as an Epidemic on Our Hands  – By Hon. Atafo O. Gold

“Politics is a different ball game, politics is an institution that deals with the affairs of people, that was why God left the professionals of Israelite to go pick up Moses the unprofessional stammerer to lead his people out of Egypt, they were people with better knowledge than Moses before God chose Moses, politics is God affair because it has to do with the people”

*Senator Monday Okpebholo, APC 2024 governorship hopeful

PEGASUS REPORTERS, LAGOS | JUNE 27, 2024

Slow and steady they say win the race in all life endeavors, this principle is advisable to be applied in all life endeavors and those that understand processing don’t underrate slow process.

Senator Monday Okpebholo is a slow gentle man that was created in that manner by our Heavenly Father and that pattern has been his secret to his present day height in all of his endeavors, he’s a successful businessman that slowly grew his company from scratch to success, he’s a slow humanitarian servant that has slowly impact the life’s of his constituents and provide them with uncountable projects that is of great benefit to them up till date.

Growing up kids that talk much in class then were loved and cherish by almost all the teachers for their outspokenness, but life standard test has proven that those that achieved more later in life were those that were not find amongst the talkative and the assumed brained ones, slow and steady win the race.

Senator Monday Okpebholo is not in the same level with the rest contestant for the forth coming Governorship election when it comes to passion to serve and deliver true dividends of democracy to the people.

Politics is not a professional affair that need professionals to do better as elected leaders, politics is local even in the western world and back here in Africa.

Politics is a different ball game, politics is an institution that deals with the affairs of people, that was why God left the professionals of Israelite to go pick up Moses the unprofessional stammerer to lead his people out of Egypt, they were people with better knowledge than Moses before God chose Moses, politics is God affair because it has to do with the people.

With this little submission of my I put it to you that Senator Monday Okpebholo is the only local man that understand our pains and needs amongst the candidates vying to represent us as Governor of Edo State and he will deliver because he has delivered for his people even before joining politics, this should be our major focus not unnecessary packaging to deceive the innocent citizens of Edo State, nothing stands a man out better than his antecedents results, when you go look for a job in a company they ask for your CV and that’s your antecedents results.

Senator Monday Okpebholo has been involve in the business of people, why Asue Ighodalo has been involve in just building his career and no traceable antecedents results of people, he was chairman of Sterling bank and he couldn’t attract a bank to his people, some of his supporters said is because Esan is not an industrialize place, we have Edo state university in Esan isn’t that enough reason to attract such investment, charity begins at home and little action says a lot, he was head of Obaseki economy team and his people still didn’t feel his impact, this are facts that can’t be swept under the carpet because they are boldly in his CV.

POLITICS IS LOCAL AND SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE.

Hon. Atafo O. Gold
