Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar’s Silent Effort to Unify Nigeria – Mallam Abdulkarim Muhammad Abdullahi

“Accordingly, most people Prof Tijjani Mora believes were not and may still not be aware that Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar had prioritized mutual cordiality and tolerance in Nigeria as his bargaining chips for good leadership and broad inclusion, during his first period in office.”

PEGASUS REPORTERS, LAGOS | MARCH 27, 2024

My encounter with Professor Tijjani Mora, a renowned pharmacist and a passionate Barewa old Boys Zaria classmate of Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar III who pressingly extols the Sultan’s silent efforts and pragmatic quest to get involved in unifying Nigeria; a nation blinded and already predetermined and divided by colonial political opportunism and ungodly manifesto against unity.

Most likely, most people were as ignorant as me about His Eminence Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar’s silent efforts and magnanimously pragmatic quest to get involved in unifying Nigeria a nation already blinded and predetermined by serial pre-colonial opportunism and ungodly vanity manifesto against national unity project.

Accordingly, most people Prof Tijjani Mora believes were not and may still not be aware that Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar had prioritized mutual cordiality and tolerance in Nigeria as his bargaining chips for good leadership and broad inclusion, during his first period in office.

Prof Mora narrated to me how much Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar wanted to make sure that he restores the ancient solidarity protocols between the Fulani herdsmen and their Tiv farming communities by undertaking a marathon diplomatic shuttle to Benue State, where he became a guest in the Gboko Royal Palace of the then paramount ruler of the Tiv people, the late Tor Tiv, Alfred Torkular.

Indeed, as a curious investigative journalist myself, I was privileged to have been an ardernt observer of Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar’s diplomatic shuttle to Benue State on the Network Service of the NTA, Africa’s largest and most popular and trusted global Television Network Service, until former President OBJ conspired against our Pan Africanism in favour of foreign exchange program menus from Europe and America in the name of freedom of choice, which horrible moral standards are the reasons for our country’s current prevailing winds of unpredictable immoralities and economic parasitism, otherwise code named hardships.

In any case, I believe that Sultan Abubakar wanted to make sure that a strong and united 36 States of Nigeria, plus a unified capital territory in Abuja, guaranteed by good food security intervention, is the best roadmap for Nigerian Independence and global destiny and long-awaited destination.

I still look forward to seeing the documentary Sultan’s diplomatic shuttle and early pioneering efforts to enforce discipline and unify the Fulani herdsmen, after Ambassador Abubakar Kaoje’ Kautal Horre and Saleh Buwari’s Dangan Allah Fulani Unity Forum.
