A new twist has been added to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad as Prophet Austin Ariole, the General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, “exonerating” Naira Marley of complicity in the death of the artist saying that the deceased was killed by family witches.
Prophet Ariole made these claims during a prayer meeting of the Upper Room team of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle in Effurun on Tuesday while expressing anger over Mohbad’s death. The man of God, flayed the Church, which he accused of not taking adequate measures to save the young musician.
Listen to him: “I don’t like worldly musicians, but I just picked interest in this one, and when I was praying last night, God revealed to me that Naira Marley did not kill Mohbad. Witches from his village killed him.”
The prophet further explained that these witches had foreseen Mohbad’s promising future, leading them to end his life. He acknowledging the pains the family is passing through but criticised Mohbad’s father for refusing to seek refuge in mountains for their children’s sake especially for upwardly mobile young man like Mohbad.
The prophet also expressed shock that Mohbad’s father seem too focus on financial matters pertaining to the burial rather than the tragedy itself.
Meanwhile, a nationwide rally calling for justice for the late Mohbad has also gained momentum and is expected to commence Thursday at Lekki
The police have initiated investigations with exhuming of the corpse for an autopsy to shed light on the circumstances surrounding his death.
