There have been reports that Davido and his live-in lover Chioma Roland secretly did the traditional marriage, “Igbankwu” on the 6th of this month and that is setting tongues wagging as to why it was performed in Davido’s home instead of the brides home according to Igbo tradition.
Sources who claimed that the event actually took place said that the marriage was hastily put together to cement the relationship between David and Chioma after the unfortunate loss of the son to a pool accident.
Sources also said that the marriage which took place under very closed-door arrangement saw Davido paying the traditional bride-price as required by Igbo tradition. It was also reported that the court weeding is scheduled for next week.
