Breaking: Nigerian Armed Forces Issues Circular To Purge Services Of Disgruntled/Unmotivated Officers

 

PEGASUS REPORTERS, LAGOS | JUNE  3, 2022

The Nigerian Armed Forces have issued a circular marked restricted to its officers and indicating that certain personnel of the military may be compulsorily retired from the services for various reasons.

The circular, DHQ/ABI/40/3/DLS/ADM dated 26th May 2022 and signed by one Rear Admiral MB Nagenu for the CDS reads:

1. It has been observed that some persons are disgruntled overcome by greed for various reasons. Notably, such persons would be unable to exhibit the high level of individual loyalty and presence of mind required of military operations. In view of the above, deployment of such personnel do not benefit the services and are in fact counter-protective.

2. Consequently, on identification of disgruntled or unmotivated personnel, Services are advised to take steps to compulsorily discharge or retired such personnel in line with the extant laws instead of redeployment.
