The group presented a letter of affirmation of its support for Asiwaju’s Presidential bid.
In a chat with PegasusReporters, Prof. Ibrahim Madugu, stated that the group welcomes the entrance of many aspirants into the presidential contest but affirms that his group has decided to support Jagaban Borgu because he combines what Nigerians are waiting for to carry on from Buhari in 2023.
“Before now, our group sat and examined the kind of personage to take over from President Buhari and we came to the inexorable conclusion that the only politician who for now can make any meaningful input that will impact on a united Nigeria for now, is Jagaban Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We are not saying that other politicians are not qualified. We are say very boldly that when you look at the strides of the Asiwaju, he’s first among the equals. His economic blueprint in Lagos, his career profile and ability to stand up to challenges are sure templates he will replicate in the whole of Nigeria. His profile as a leader, is sui generis. And this has remained unbeaten since the dawn of the fourth republic. You don’t wish that away in the name of partisanship”
