“If the tradition was as bad as many want to see, how come that it has lasted this ages and the tribes are still increasing and healthy” he asked PegasusReporters

The differences in people and culture is responsible for what people do, eat, what they eat or how they dress and produce for survival of their kind.
Recently Pegasusreporters spoke with an Ethiopian living in Nigeria and sought to find out about the Suma tribe of that country that is reputed to drink fresh cow blood every morning and the revelation was astounding.
According to Gabrielle, it is a cultural practice that dates back to centuries that fellow Ethiopians have been practicing for some time now.
While many might think this is disgusting to drink raw blood, it is important for us the human race to recognize that we do things differently and as a result, we must respect our differences without killing each other or pointing fingers.
Drinking blood from cow has always been part of Suma tribe natural traditional diet, more especially after special occasions such as ritual circumcision or the birth of a child.
The mixing of cattle blood, obtained by nicking the cow’s vein without killing or eating its meat and the milk is done to prepare a ritual drink for special celebrations and as nourishment for the sick. However, the inclusion of blood in the traditional diet is waning due to the reduction of livestock numbers
Gabrielle said that he finds nothing wrong with the tradition as it does not involve the killing of the animal. “If the tradition was as bad as many want to see, how come that it has lasted this ages and the tribes are still increasing and healthy” he asked PegasusReporters
