Hushpuppi: Group Hails Replacement of Abba Kyari With Tunji Disu

The Southwest youth rally central body, the Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths) has hailed the removal by the Inspector-General of Nigeria Police, Usman Akali Baba of DCP Abba Kyari, and his replacement with DCP Tunji Disu as the most fitting round-peg in a round-hole.

A presss statement made available to Pegasus Reporters and dated August 2, 2021 as signed by the President-general of the group, Comrade AWA Bamiji stated that the choice of DSP Disu shows that the government and police authorities are serious in building a credible force for the nation, especially in these times of uncertainties.

While the statement observed that the masses still see the appointment of Disu as a pleasant surprise, it lauded the IGP of making one of the best choices available to him and thank the authorities for the quick response.

The full statement reads as follows: 

“It is still breaking news in the town that the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has approved the posting of Mr. Tunji Disu, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and former Rapid Response Squad Commander, Lagos State, as the new Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, in replacement of troubled DCP Abba Kyari.

“DCP Tunji Disu is very young, dynamic, godly, multi-talented, and cool-headed, well-read with the requisite skill to deliver effectively.

“He is one of the God-fearing and credible Nigerians that we can boast of in Nigeria’s Police today, it is on this note, we want to thank President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, on behalf of Nigerian Youths for deeming it to approve this exalted appointment at a crucial time when it is most needed and we can assure you that DCP Tunji Disu that we know very well will take this Office to the next level for good.
