UPDATE ON: Late Tunde & Moyo His Wife & Nuhu Adams of FCMB

Tunde Thomas was a 45-year-old man married to Moyo who was a staff at First City Monument Bank, FCMB, but died of heartbreak after when he discovered that his two kids from the marriage were fathered by Mr Nuhu Adams, the Managing Director of FCMB.

The story had it that his wife, Moyo Thomas was allegedly in a romantic affair with her boss, Adam Nuru, the Managing Director of FCMB and her employer. Though Adam was happily married, he was overwhelmed with adultery despite knowing that her staff was also married.

Poor Tunde, being kept out of the true situation about the paternity of the children and the flourishing adulterous relationship between his wife and her boss, spared no kobo in ensuring that wife and the children had the best he could afford: annual holidays abroad in the USA, Europe and Dubai. The kids attended the best of school and were the envy of their neighbourhoods.

As though in a cleverly scripted rehearsal, Tunde’s was said to have resigned her appointment unknown to her hubby and requested to go on holiday with the kids when the older of the two kids was about 8 years. Source says that this was planned by her ‘boyfriend’ boss. It was to be the last time Tunde would ever set his eyes on the children.

The Poor man was to get the first shock of his life when his wife refused to return to Nigeria when the school resumed in Nigeria. It was also the time to tell the deceived hubby the home truth about the paternity of the two kids. The truth hit Tunde so hard that he suffered a stroke! Always ahead of her husband and to prevent him from taking any pre-emptive move that will jeopardize her new status Moyo in the US, Moyo filed asylum in the US on the basis of marital violence in Nigeria.

All these took place in 2017 according to reports, and Tunde never felt good after recovering from a stroke that was the first shock of the bad news. However, he was prevailed upon to pick up the pieces of what was left of a shattered home, marriage and two beautiful kids that were never to be his again in this world. He began a new relationship with a lady who sources said is a lawyer and he forged on even as he couldn’t let go the past. Late in 2020, it was gathered that he invited a few friends to join him in reaching out to the parents of his new beau to the proposed marriage. That was on the 26th of December. Regrettably, Tunde didn’t get to see that day. He slumped and died while returning from work on December 15, 2020. He was laid to rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, four days after he was to attempt the second matrimony.

From recent revelation from sources, Moyo Thomas, now in the USA is reported to have swiftly changed her identity in the midst of these controversies, perhaps in a bid to douse the taunts and public opprobrium. besides, she’s now said to works as a Recruitment Manager with Park Nicollet Health Services as gleaned from changes her LinkedIn profile to which now reads ‘Mo David’. However, despite the name change and the removal of her profile picture, her old details were left untouched.

Meanwhile, Moyo Thomas has spoken on the incident that was alleged to have led to the death of her husband, Tunde Thomas but refused to mention the MD of FCMB in the statement signed by one by Adetunji Iromini, on behalf of the family,

She said in the statement that her two kids belong to Tunde and that they were not legally divorced before her husband’s death despite the fact that she had relocated to the United States of America.

“This is quite unfortunate in many ways. It does not augur well for the memory of the departed soul especially as we are all grieving the loss of Tunde, who was buried on Wednesday 30th December 2020. The pictures of the children are being posted in social media, without care.

“There would not have been any need to respond to issues raised in the petition but for the sake of posterity, the memory of Tunde and for the sake of his children. Like any marriage, there were differences between Moyo and Tunde leading to their separation and eventual relocation of Moyo to the USA in December 2017.

“It is important to note that the divorce process was never thought of or initiated by Moyo. And to the best of our knowledge, no divorce papers were ever served on Moyo. This means that they were still legally married. In the opinion of Moyo and her family, the channel for reconciliation was still open up until Tunde’s unfortunate demise.

“Tunde is the father of the 2 children and Moyo never told him he was not their father. Moyo and Tunde clearly worked to ensure the differences they had did not affect the relationship they respectively have with the two children.

“Tunde paid a visit to the USA to visit the children in June 2018. He met them and interacted with them unhindered. This was after his recovery from the stroke he had earlier that year. He was in touch constantly with the children, calling and having fatherly conversations with them, even at odd hours, at least twice every month from December 2017.

“The last of such calls took place on Thanksgiving Day on 26th November 2020. You will agree that this does not paint the picture of a man who had been told he was not the father of his children as was maliciously stated in the petition and is being circulated on social media.

“It is very sad that a group of people have decided to take the differences between a married couple and misrepresent it into a sensational story. It is unfair to have pictures of his young children splashed all over the internet.

“Tunde had a mild stroke in 2018. By the grace of God, he was able to fully recover from this and carried on with his life. He was obviously doing well at his job and was in another relationship with a lady who was pregnant before his death.

“Why he had a cardiac arrest that led to his eventual death almost 2 years after remains a mystery that only God can provide answers to. We can begin to postulate on possible reasons, but we would rather not, to preserve the fond memories of Tunde.

“Tunde has now gone to be with his maker. We do wish his family and friends, including his pregnant girlfriend, the fortitude to bear the unfortunate loss. He has now been laid to rest and we implore all to allow those grieving his loss, including Moyo and his children, to do so in peace. May Tunde’s soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.”
